  • The WiscWiki homepage has been redesigned. It now features four major areas - getting started with wikis in the uw-system, teaching with wikis, technical topics, and this team portal. I've also tried to reorganize the navigation bar according to suggestions collected at the conference. If you have comments, please add them to the homepage discussion area or send them to Doug.
  • This page also got an update. The goal was to make it a bit more action oriented by creating a section on pages that need help.
  • Our very first conference was held Friday, April 13th at UW-Madison! Video segments from the conference are currently being edited and will appear on the wiki as soon as possible.
  • Wendy, Nancy, and Jakob prepared a grant proposal for curriculum development integrating wikis into courses around UWS and submitted it in March; it was funded in May! Here's the new hub for those involved with the grant.

Pages that need your help

our list of pages that need the most attention
  • Wiki Accessibility was identified at the conference as a much needed addition to the site
  • getting started - we also identified the need for a concise guide to getting started with wikis in the UW-System
  • the teaching page links out to several good collections of notes and ideas, but needs some coherent organization. Much of the discussion at the conference centered around key issues with wikis: Audience, Authorship Models, Collaborative Roles, and Assessment. Perhaps these topics could be an organizing principle?
  • The Matrix of UWS Wiki Support is off to a great start, but needs to be filled out with info on each campus.
